Guess that means I have to stop spamming armies of Younglings and actually start playing seriously again.

Hi, i am new here, discover the game via Matrix forums and more i know about it more i like.

As suggestion in Steam game area post the dev logs and more info about game, now dont find any kind of info is a little... i arrive here searching it but feed Steam area is important.

Game is a complete unknow and needs a push (i try do it in a wargames forum i usually use).

Good luck, expect see the game expanded with more options (new races, diferent campaigns...) and even when your WWII title sounds interesting WW2 in wargames is over exploited and Fantasy has more room to "creative work".

Thank you very much. I have started posting announcements to the Steam community hub, time to get this party started! And I fully agree, I do look forward to working on CAOS actively again (being a historian by trade, it's kind of my heart's passion) but you are quite correct. There is so much room for creative work in fantasy games.

Thanks again for your support, it means a lot after spending months slaving away on making the game to begin getting the word out about Goblin Storm. This next week we will be trying our best to increase visibility.

Out of curiosity, do you use Discord? I am currently contemplating creating a Goblin Storm Discord so we can easily communicate directly with the community.

No, i really never use discord, here i am very "classic" prefer the old "forum raiding" specially when i have a hardcore of good forums where i can find what i want and discover new jewels.

In general i think that if you are going to sell using Steam first step could be use Steam forum and tools and later expand to other areas if is needed... specially if game is mod friendly... one of the first things i read in the spanish forum is that finally could be possible have a good LOTR wargame cheeky

Expect read more about your game, the first "nation" post looks promising with real diferent sides and subsides because the armies are going to be diferent in combat philosophy... this maybe is the biggest attractive in game for me, you can customize your army but in a not complex way... remember me a little the excellent unit manegement from my first PC wargame... "The Civil War" of Empire Interactive, simple use but powerfull at same time.

Goblin Storm will be mod friendly, things like companies, soldier types, beast types, beast spawns per map, unit graphics, will certainly be fully moddable. I will write a dev blog shortly after release delving into more detail about what will be moddable, and what we hope to make moddable in the future. I am quite confident that a few dedicated modders could make some very, very interesting conversion mods for Goblin Storm!

Nice, mods are a good way to sell games, sometimes a game is attractive more based in mods than for vainilla version (even when is not bad).... i remember for Myth II a mod that was at least as good than base game if not better because introduce ability to use shields to block arrows ("The Seventh God") or games that started as mods to finish as full games and well if TOAW III (and IV) had LOTR scens...

Modding is another tool to attract new player and is allways possible for you release alternative campaigns for base game with new races and kingdoms... even change ambientation.

Waiting know more about the game races/armies.

Indeed, modders are often the heart of a gaming community. Developers can make great games, but modders can do so many cool things with them and take games in entirely new directions. I started my career as a modder myself.

As for more information about races/armies in the game. I have spent my morning finishing 2 out of the 3 new soldier types planned for the Gothrang Goblins and then laying the groundwork for a new map. I am now working on the new faction introduction to show you guys. It will be up tomorrow.
